It means the color opens for ordering later in the model year, not that it reaches our lot later. That distinction costs people real time every fall. All six additions carry the note, along with Serrano Green on the Rumble Bee. A truck in one of those colors is an ordered truck, full stop, and if you need a half-ton before the ground freezes you should be shopping the carryover colors out front. These are also ordering windows rather than promises, and they move, which is why we will not put a date on a web page. The mid-tone greys and silvers hide our dirt better than anything else on the list: Silver Zynith, Granite Crystal, Tank and, on a Rumble Bee, Ceramic Grey. Diamond Black shows every bit of it, and Bright White hides dust well but wears the winter grime line along the rockers like a stripe. Everything in this section is our opinion from watching trucks come and go off this lot, not a fact from any guide, so treat it that way. It works out this way because our dirt has a color. Section-line dust here is pale tan-grey, so a truck that is already pale tan-grey looks washed a week longer than a dark one. Winter road film is a grey salt haze that disappears into Silver Zynith and sits on Diamond Black like chalk. Dark colors also show the scratches. Between shelterbelts, cattle, chaff in September and the grit on gravel roads all summer, a half-ton out here collects swirl marks, nearly invisible on silver and impossible to miss on black. The trade is that nothing looks better than a clean black truck. From Beadle's Chrysler Center The most common conversation we have about color is not about color at all. It is one person in the household who wants the truck to look good in the yard and another who washes it, and what settles it nine times out of ten is a mid-tone grey or silver. The reds and blues land in the middle, hiding dust better than black and worse than silver.
